Harvest Your Health

You probably know that digital bundles are all the rage. These bundles consist of  a collection of eBooks (and possibly videos and audio) with a particular theme all bundled together at a reduced price when compared to purchasing at retail.  Primal Toad put together a wildly successful bundle sale at the beginning of this year. It generated an amazing following and really made others take notice what a spectacular idea  a bundle sale could be. And because of that success, there have been many bundle sales since. Primal Toad (aka Todd Dosenberry) has done it again.  He’s put together another spectacular bundle collection featuring 71 eBooks.

I’m quite honored to have my eBook, Real Food Hits the Road, included in this collection.  As a contributor, and affiliate, any purchases you make of this bundle will be greatly appreciated and I’ll receive a commission. But honestly, I wouldn’t tell you about this bundle if I didn’t believe it contained worthwhile information.  I’m going to share a few of the books that I reviewed and particularly enjoyed.

The bundle contains 71 eBooks divided into 9 categories;

  • Cooking and Preparing Paleo Foods
  • Cooking and Preparing Real Food
  • Personal & Home Care
  • Fertility & Motherhood
  • Informational
  • Inspiration
  • Fitness
  • Detoxify
  • Intentional/Simple Living

The combined retail of all 71 books is over $1000. The bundle is $37 and available for one week only ending October 14.  Do you need 71 eBooks?  Probably not. But I’m going to share 6 that I do think would make a great addition to your library.

Primal Tightwad: Maximizing Your Health on a Minimal Budget by Carolyn Rush

This is a wonderful and informative book for those who are working with a tight budget. She offers some great tips on getting the most mileage out of your food dollars.  Carolyn Rush suggests many of the same methods that we find incredibly helpful in keeping our food budget under control but she writes from a Primal Diet viewpoint. However, you do not need to follow a Primal Diet to benefit from this book. There were many wonderful suggestions in it that will work for any household. She also offers a comparative menu plan showing the cost of a ‘processed’ food diet for a week versus a real, Primal diet. This was very eye opening. She combines her information with a few recipes to get you started.  Retail value $14.95 included in Harvest Your Health Bundle.

Well Fed: Paleo Recipes for People Who Love Food by Melissa Joulwan

I’ve mentioned this book before. It is a favorite of mine and I was exited to see it included in this collection. This eBook is not only a terrific cookbook with beautiful pictures but it has the best tips for providing a home cooked meal every night. Melissa takes you through her journey of food to eating Paleo and then on to practical tips for making this food a part of your life. You do not have to eat a Paleo or Primal diet to use the tips she offers. I’ve used several of her suggestions and it really makes my kitchen time easier.  If you struggle to put a home cooked meal on the table with your busy life, you need this book.  Retail value $14.95 included in Harvest Your Health Bundle.

Crock On! A Semi-Whole Foods Slow Cooker Cookbook by Stacy Myers

If you are not already using your crock pot to help get meals on the table, this book will motivate you.  If you have a goal of eating more homemade, whole foods this book will help. The recipes in this book remind me of comfort food. They use simple ingredients and look very family friendly. A couple that I’m looking forward to trying are Cheeseburger Pie and Mexican Chicken Chowder. Both look spectacular! Retail value $5 included in Harvest Your Health Bundle.

Back to School Slow Cooker Freezer Recipes by Stephanie Brandt Cornais

Love this!  A combination book to put your crock pot and your freezer to work for you.  Every recipe in this book is grain-free (including corn and legume) and dairy-free.  In some ways this reminds me of one of those cook once for 30 days of food books but it is broken down into much more manageable pieces of three recipes at once. The author says she can put together the three recipes (which is six meals since each recipe fills two gallon size freezer bag) in a couple of hours including clean up. The eBook provides a shopping list for two separate three recipe plans and even talks about what kind of freezer bags to use.  Each completed freezer bag will serve at least four people.  This is a mini-eBook designed to give you a sample of what you can do when combining your crock pot and freezer to help us busy, tired mamas get a hot meal on the table.  Retail value $4.99 included in Harvest Your Health Bundle.

Natural Cleaning by Katie the Wellness Mama

Would you like to make the switch to natural cleaning products? Did you know that you can make that switch easily and for very little money?  Katie takes you through using just 8 products to clean the entire house. Not everything needs to be mixed up into a recipe to use but there are recipes for some items like carpet stain remover, glass cleaner and floor cleaner (hard wood and all purpose). There is even a bonus whole house cleaning checklist for those of us who prefer a list to keep organized.  Retail value $15.00 included in Harvest Your Health Bundle.

One Bite at a Time: 52 Projects for Making Life Simpler by Tsh Oxenreider

You want to simplify your life. You’ve heard or read all kinds of tips and ideas to make that happen. You desire to slow things down and make life less frustrating . But starting seems completely overwhelming. This book will help you break down the monumental task of simplifying by focusing on just one task at a time. These 52 tasks can be done in any order since the tasks do not build on each other. Need to create a budget? Do those tasks first. Want a morning routine that works for you? Start there. Need more sleep? There’s a section for that.  Maybe you don’t need to do all 52 projects and that’s fine too.  I love how this book is put together. At the beginning there is a category section. You can choose what category you want to focus on. Relationships and Time Stewardship are both things I’d like to focus on first. The category section makes it easy to see which of the 52 projects apply to those.  Retail value $5.00 included in Harvest Your Health Bundle.

These 6 eBooks alone have a retail value of just under $60 making this bundle more than worth it.  But you get an additional 65 eBooks making this a spectacular deal.

Of course, I could choose many more to highlight and share with you! Including Baking With Coconut Flour by Starlene Stewart and Real Food Kids: In the Kitchen  by Wardee Harmon & Jamie Delgado. I’m quite familiar with both of these books and love them! Spend a couple of minutes looking at the entire bundle. You’ll see why it was so hard to choose just 6!

What do you think? Which books jump out at you?
