chickpeacurry4Snow on Mother’s Day! Yep.  It wasn’t enough to stick around but it did snow off and on all day and was cold. Definitely a day to stay inside. Joe and I worked on our permaculture class and had a fairly quiet day. Overnight, the snow continued and we did wake up to a couple of inches on the ground. The mountain near us got up to 20 inches in places. That’s May in Wyoming for you. 😉

This week we are rabbit sitting. Some friends are out of town and brought their rabbits over here for us to watch. We’re planning rabbits for the new property so are excited to be able to experience the daily care. So far, it’s pretty easy.

We’re milking our Peanut goat now. Because my hand is still recovering I don’t have as much strength as I’d like and do have some troubles with milking. As a result we’re missing some days. She has three babes (we leave the babes with mama) so when we don’t milk they take care of it.

Because I’ve been very busy with an extra job lately, Joe’s been doing breakfasts. Things are slowing down a bit so I’ll be doing breakfast again most mornings. But because we’ve been kind of unorganized I decided to plan breakfasts for this week in addition to suppers. Lunches are usually leftovers or whatever is scrounged and not planned. That said, I do sometimes wish our lunches were more organized. Some of the links in the menu are affiliate links.
